To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

Job Description:

  • Drive strategic sales initiatives and close high-value deals within the enterprise and BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sectors.
  • Develop and execute account plans to grow existing accounts and penetrate new opportunities within target verticals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers to understand business needs and position solutions effectively.

  • Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.

  • Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets through a results-driven and consultative sales approach.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery, client satisfaction, and account growth.

  • Maintain a strong and organized sales pipeline while providing accurate forecasts and regular reporting to leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise sales, with a strong focus on the BFSI vertical.
  • Proven track record of closing deals and exceeding sales targets in a high-performance environment.

  • MBA is required.

  • Strong expertise in account management, strategic sales, and pipeline development.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage confidently with C-level executives.

  • Highly self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently or in a team setting.

Day in the Life of a Sales BDM

Your day begins by reviewing key accounts and aligning Go-to-Market strategies to meet client needs, especially within the BFSI sector. You engage with C-level executives to strengthen relationships, understand their challenges, and recommend tailored solutions. Throughout the day, you work on building and nurturing your sales pipeline—developing Account Business Plans (ABPs), tracking deal progress, and identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities. You collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery while actively driving strategic and transactional sales initiatives. As the day ends, you review pipeline metrics, assess account performance, and plan the next steps to meet and exceed your sales targets.
